Adding Individual Students

Adding individual students to Spellcaster is a straightforward process that can be completed in just a few steps from your dashboard.

How to Add a Student:

  • Click the "Add Student" button in the top right corner of your dashboard
  • Enter the student's first name and last name
  • Create a Spellcaster username or use the auto-generate feature
  • Click "Create" to add the student to your account

Important Notes:

  • Student usernames are used to log into the Spellcaster game
  • You can add students up to your current seat cap
  • Seat caps can be adjusted through the Billing and Subscription settings
  • Access Billing settings via the organization name dropdown in the top left corner

Bulk Adding Students

For educators needing to add multiple students at once, Spellcaster offers efficient bulk addition options through the dashboard.

Manual Bulk Entry:

  • Click "Bulk Add Learners" in the top right corner of your dashboard
  • Fill in student information in the provided fields
  • Add more lines using the "Add Line" button
  • Auto-generate usernames with the built-in generator
  • Monitor available licenses as you add students

Spreadsheet Import:

  • Click "Import from Spreadsheet" on the bulk add page
  • Download the CSV template with example data
  • Enter your student information following the template format
  • Upload your completed CSV file
  • Review and edit student details before final creation

Managing Student Accounts

Spellcaster provides flexible tools for managing student accounts after creation.

Account Management Features:

  • View all students from your main dashboard
  • Edit student information at any time
  • Delete students by clicking the X button next to their name
  • Monitor available licenses through the dashboard
  • Purchase additional licenses through Billing and Subscription settings

  • Regularly review student accounts for accuracy
  • Keep track of available licenses to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Save time by using bulk import for large groups
